Udupi Sarees are one of the finest examples of weaving tradition. These delicate looking but sturdy sarees lasts generations and later used as bed spreads, soft baby wraps and kitchen towels before being decomposed and has lowest carbon footprint. Uniqueness of Udupi saree lies in the contrast design for PALLU and BORDER . The pallu portion of the saree is dyed in dark shade using tie and dye method before weaving.
